The Qur'an

Shifa wa Rahma

Healing and mercy. The lens the Qur'an names for itself.

Allah named the Qur'an, in the Qur'an's own words, a healing and a mercy. And We send down of the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers (Surah Al-Isra 17:82). This section of the site is being built around that line.

The Qur'an section here is not a sequential read of the Book. The Book itself, in Arabic and in translation, is best read on quran.com. What you will find here is a slow walk through themes the Qur'an names about itself. Healing. Mercy. Guidance. Protection. The opening conversation. The refuge. Each essay is anchored to verses and to the classical tafsir tradition, in the same voice as the Prophets section.

The first essay is on shifa wa rahma, the healing and the mercy. The rest will come slowly. Six essays are listed below as they are written.
